Working with the team at Volum8 and the First National Bank of Scotia, I developed a custom WordPress theme focused on achieving WCAG Level AA accessibility compliance. My responsibilities included creating a responsive, user-friendly interface that ensured all users, including those with disabilities, could easily access and navigate the website. This commitment to accessibility involved implementing features such as keyboard navigation, text alternatives for non-text content, and sufficient color contrast.
The project required close collaboration with the bank’s team to align the website’s design with their mission of delivering personal service and creative financial solutions. The result was a polished, professional website that not only met high accessibility standards but also provided a seamless user experience across all devices.
