As the Lead Front-End Developer, I worked with the teams at Volum8 and the Celiac Disease Foundation to consolidate the information architecture of their globally popular website. I was responsible for creating a custom WordPress theme with a strong focus on accessibility. The website was carefully developed to ensure all users, including those with disabilities, could easily access and navigate the content. One of the most exciting aspects of this project was developing the “Symptoms Assessment Tool,” an interactive form that became the site’s most popular feature.
The Symptoms Assessment Tool needed to be responsive and seamlessly integrated with various third-party services. I worked closely with the CDF team to ensure the tool was intuitive and effective, providing users with valuable information about their symptoms and potential diagnoses. The result was a polished, professional website that significantly enhanced user engagement and support for individuals with celiac disease.
